Jericho is Oxford's place to visit

Jericho has come in at No. 11 in a survey of the UK’s hippest places to visit. gave it the maximum ten points for ‘hip culture’, which reflects the abundance of ‘hangouts’ like coffee shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as vintage fashion shops and independent bike shops. We also got ten points for creative capital, with galleries and co-working spaces.

However, we got zero points for ‘traveller value’ reflecting the lack of inexpensive local accommodation. No surprise there, then.

Top of the list in the UK was Ancoats in Manchester.

According to their website: “We asked self-confessed hipster blogger Adam Groffman, from Travels of Adam, and UK travel blogger Emily Ray, from The Cosy Traveller, to put together comprehensive guides for our top 10 trendy neighbourhoods in the UK and Europe.
