The dynamic Hatha yoga class invites fluid movement as the expression of a subtle exploratory awareness, helping to bring a sense of evenness to body and mind. Precise suggestions are offered as to how align the body, so that the individual can tailor these suggestions to their individual experience. They cover the spectrum of breath, the physical relationships of the body and some of the energetic dimension. The class lasts for 1.5 hours and is open to all. There are options for beginners and plenty of challenges for the experienced.
Where the community centre came from?
The centre was built at the end of the 19th century as the Church Institute for St. Barnabas.
The origins of Nelson Street?
Nelson Street takes its name from a local pub, the Lord Nelson, subsequently renamed Carpenters’ Arms—which has since been converted to housing.
