Ten days of exhibitions and activities at the Jericho Community Centre

Posted - April 28, 2019

For Artweeks 2019, the Community Centre becomes a hive of artistic activity. The ground floor hall and stairwell will display the work of eight painter, sculptors, print makers, and photographers.

And at their weekends there will be workshops for children and others on, for example, making mosaics and sketchbooks

These activities are being organized by Uniz Chuey, the tattoo artist who works at Art Studio Jericho on the top floor of the Community Centre. Together with painter Donna Han, she has recruited a group of Oxford artists to share the exhibition space. They have also been hard at work repainting the walls in preparation for hanging the pictures.

On Saturday 11th May from 1pm - 3pm, there is even the opportunity to try your hand at tattooing. No, you don’t have to have to bring a willing volunteer, as any shaky handiwork will only be adorning pieces of fruit.
