Recycling and waste

The City Council collects waste and recycling each week, usually on Fridays – alternating between blue and green bins.

Bins and sacks are supplied by the City council. Black bags are not collected. For the latest information please consult the City Council Recycling and Waste online guide. This explains, for example, how to get new or replacement bins.

Public bins -- There are bins in King Street behind the school, where you can dispose of clothes and shoes as well as small electricals.

Bulky waste -- The Council will collect bulky waste. To book a collection call 01865 249811,
