This year, the Medley Sailing Club's Open Day is on Saturday 30th May from 12am to 4pm. Jericho residents can find out what it's all about with tea, cakes and boat rides (boat rides are weather permitting!). The club is next to Bossom’s yard, which is downstream from the Perch Inn and the village of Binsey, with panoramic views over Port Meadow.

Founded in 1937, we are a family-friendly club which operates on Port Meadow, a quiet and beautiful stretch of the River Thames, a short distance from Oxford city, Botley, Wolvercote, Jericho, Binsey and Botley We sail and race dinghies on the river from Medley footbridge up towards Godstow lock and the Trout Inn. We also have the largest collection of Heritage British Moths as well as several 'club' boats to hire out at a very low cost. As well as Sunday afternoon and Wednesday summer evening racing, the Club has an active social calendar with an annual end-of-season dinner, the "Autumn Candle" sailing race in the dark with fairy lights, a May Morning fun race and breakfast, and the Paper Boat Race which marks the start of the Medley Summer Regatta, as well as other events such as club house barbeques.https://www.medleysailingclub.co.uk/
