Sultan Ali

‘Ali Senior’, who has died aged 81, was the postman for the southern part of Jericho in the 1970s and 1980s. Born in Pakistan, he served in the British Army in the Second World war and came to the UK in 1967. When he retired, His son Mohammad (‘Ali Junior’) took over the round and still delivers the post in Walton Street, Richmond Road, Walton Crescent, Great Clarendon Street and Worcester Place.
