Ernie and his wife Gwen lived in Hart Street for many years though had recently moved to Bicester. He worked over a long period for OUP as a representative, and they both played an important part in Jericho life, organizing many social events for the Parish. Ernie was in the RAF during the war and always had something of the distinguished airman about him. A large number of friends and former colleagues gathered at St. Barnabas for his funeral. Our sympathies to Gwen and her family.
