The Institute

All systems go

All systems are now go for beginning work on the Institute - the work has gone out to tender and the Town Hall is about to decide which contractor is to be given the job. There remains the idea of some of the committee to have a bright and attractive plastic canopy over the door which has met with some opposition from the planners. Hopefully this can be resolved without delaying the project. Unfortunately a fire in the entrance hall means that the building cannot be used until it has been completely restored, so those groups which had not already changed venue, have now had to do so.
