Our Alive and Kicking group for the over-50s, which meets every Wednesday afternoon at 2.00 pm at the Community Centre, has been recognized in the Oxfordshire Adult Social Care Awards 2022, for for their work in organizing activties for older residents. The awards were organized by the Oxfordshire Carers Association and Age UK Oxfordshire
Councillor Susann Pressel said "I nominated them for the award because they are so very kind and helpful to various of the older people in Jericho, especially when they are ill or house-bound. They also visit people in hospital or when they move into a care home."
"To receive the award they were invited to attend a lavish cream tea at a smart hotel. The person who organised all that specially contacted me to say how delightful she found them and what good company they are!"
