Brisk day at the 2013 Street Fair

Posted - June 09, 2013
Jericho's social event of the year brought crowds from across Oxford. Canal street was lined with stalls run by local groups, as well as vendors offering food of all flavours - no-one should have left hungry. This year's fair was organized for the Jericho Community Association by a committee led by Susan Brown. Thanks to everyone who made the day such a great success. Johnny Hinkes assembled his Honolulu Cowboys who, along with other local acts such as the Momentum dance group, performed on the Cardigan Street stage. Meanwhile the Bookbinders lined up an impressive list of bands that played well into the evening. The Harcourt and the Rickety Press also organized special events. We are grateful to our generous local businesses who provided raffle prizes:
  • Bookbinders
  • Branca restaurant
  • Brasserie Blanc
  • Daisies flower shop
  • G&D Icecream
  • Harcourt Arms
  • Loch Fyne restaurant
  • Mumu's Gelateria Cafe
  • Oxford Pantry
  • Phoenix cinema
  • Posh Frocks
  • Rickety Press
  • Walton Street Cycles
