Loch Fyne takings stolen

Police appeal for witnesses

Posted - August 15, 2013
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a 32-year-old man was robbed in Oxford. At 2.30pm on Monday (12/8), the victim was walking along King Street on their way to deposit the takings of the Loch Fyne restaurant, when a man approached him, threatened him with a knife and demanded money. The frightened victim handed over the takings and his wallet to the offender who then made off on foot down Great Clarendon Street. The offender is white, of medium build, around 40-years-old and spoke with no distinctive accent. He had short brownish hair, patchy stubble and was wearing a thin dark jacket and dark trousers. Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the offender in the area or acting suspiciously around the time of the offence. Anyone with information should contact PC Rachel Linzey from the Robbery Team of Oxford Local CID via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101. If you don’t want to speak directly to the police, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
