Weekly conversations in the Community Centre

Posted - November 18, 2017
From January 10, there will be a new series of get-togethers on Wednesday evenings at the Community Centre, 'My Jericho...Coffee, Cake and Conversation'. This has have been organized by John Mair of Nelson Street, John says: "This is what it says on the cake tin - one hour of conversation with some well known Jericho locals about who they are, how they got there and how they ended up in our little urban village." "Nothing fancy, just talk. The conversationalists range from the landlord of the Old Bookbinders Ale House, Michel Sadones, to the Priest at St Barnabas Father Jonathan Beswick, to local estate agent Teresa O’Hara, with Sir Richard Peto Epidemiologist, Maggie Whitlum former Manage of the National Theatre, Pandora Maxwell, and boat dweller and canal historian Mark Davies in between." "A bit of a range a bit like the area itself. We might do some more after Easter if enough of you come." "No booking needed. Just show up at 5.45 with a cake in hand or two pounds in lieu plus a modicum of curiosity.." Further information from John Mair - johnmair100@hotmail.com
