NEW WEST WARD CANDIDATE FOR CITY COUNCIL

West Ward Labour Party have chosen Phyllis Starkey as their candidate for the City Council to replace former Lord Mayor, Mrs. Olive Gibbs who is retiring in May after representing West Ward for nearly thirty years. Mrs. Starkey, a research scientist, lives in Walton Crescent, her two children go to St. Barnabas School and her husband is a tutor at Westminster College. She is a member of the Jericho Residents' Association and is active in the Peace Movement and in the World Development Movement.
