Parking proposals

Revising the regime

Posted - February 10, 1998
The new parking regime seems to work fairly well. The most recent revisionof parking bays increased the number of residents' spaces by about 200, and for now there appear to be enough to go round. Last year Council officers met with the Community Association and will do so again in the next month or so to discuss proposed revisions. After this, the proposals will be on display in the Community Centre. Nothing dramatic is envisaged. Probably we will see more bays designated for 'dual usage' - available either for short-term visitors or for normal use by residents. And there may be bays designated specifically for those with business permits. If you want your concerns taken into account you should contact the Community Association, or one of your councillors.
