Deliveries and opening hours

Local shops that deliver

  • Ali’s Jericho store — Ali’s is now offering a home delivery service to help those who are self-isolating. Between 3.30 pm and 6:30 pm weekdays and all-day on weekends. To place an order, ring 01865 557506. £10 minimum spend.
  • Bonners Fruit and Veg—Bonners of the covered market will deliver with no minimum order, but a delivery charge of £3.00. First, place your order on the website bonnersoxford.shop, then for any queries call 01865 242183. You pay after you have received the goods—preferably by bank transfer, or over the phone by card. Bonners can also supply through Manos (see below)
  • Branca—Deli and Grocery stocked to the rafters. Open as usual plus delivering to Jericho and north Oxford Monday to Saturday. 01865 553748 or email deli@branca.co.uk. Stock list on our website www.branca.co.uk Keeping our distance and providing gloves.
  • Coop—The Coop on Walton Street will take an isolated person’s order and payment over the phone and then deliver to their door by colleagues and local Jericho volunteers. 01865 511884.
  • East/West Provisions — In Woodstock Road will deliver groceries locally on weekdays, a minimum of £10 per order, delivery free, call 311288, or info@eastwestprovisions.co.uk.
  • George and Davis—Open for deliveries and takeaways. We sell 4 packs of bagels, or sandwich bagels, breakfast bagels, pizza bagels, as well as ice cream, desserts and drinks. Tel 01865 516652

  • Manos Fresh Food Bar — We are working with Bonners to sell and deliver fresh fruit and veg to Jericho and Summertown. Local pharmacies

Both our local pharmacies can deliver non-urgent prescriptions to people who are self-isolating—in and around Jericho. Depending on the driver’s schedule, delivery will be within in two or three days.

Opening hours for the more vulnerable and NHS workers

Coop— Vulnerable customers, carers and NHS workers Monday to Saturday, 8.00 am to 9,00 am, and 10.00 am to 11.00 am on Sundays.

Marks and Spencers— Monday and Thursdays, 8.00 am to 9.00 am for more vulnerable and elderly customers Tuesdays and Fridays 8.00 am to 9.00 am for NHS and emergency services workers.

Sainsburys—Elderly and vulnerable shopping hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.00 am to 9.00 am.. NHS and social care workers, Monday to Saturday, 7.30 am to 8.00 am.

Tesco—Elderly and vulnerable shopping hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.00 am to 10.00 am. NHS staff Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.00 am to 10.00 am

Waitrose—The first opening hour in our supermarkets will be dedicated to our elderly and vulnerable shoppers, and those who look after them.only between 8am and 9am.

Shops operating online

Sainsburys is using its own and government databases to identify customers who are the most vulnerable. If you have a medical condition that makes you vulnerable, you can register on the Government site by clicking here.

Waitrose — is also using its own and government databases to set aside a quarter of its delivery slots for the vulnerable and elderly.

Oxford City Council — maintains a list of all businesses around the city operating online. Click here.

Independent shops in Oxford — Many offer home delivery. For information click here.

Milk and More—Our local milk delivery service can also deliver fruit and vegetable boxes but is currently not accepting new customers.
