St. Barnabas ‘bells’
Restoration planned

These are not actually bells at all, but metal cylinders of various lengths that are struck by hammers controlled by a splendid Victorian contraption of Heath-Robinson complexity. The Church intends to restore the mechanism so the cylinders can ring in the Millennium Year. This will cost around £7,000. Needless to say, contributions are welcome.
