Posted - October 13, 2020

Boaters who have been occupying the land on the Jericho side of Castle Mill Stream been trying to regularize their position and have now applied for planning permission. Meanwhile Network Rail has been threatening to evict them. For background information please see this previous item on Jericho Online.

Steve Watts now reports:

“We have applied for a Certificate of Lawful Use (in effect, retrospective planning permission) for the moorings. The consultation deadline is October 22nd. Notices have appeared along the towpath.

“The Oxfordshire Community Land Trust, who we contacted recently, have expressed interest in our ideas.”
