Wandering buses

Cornmarket closure

Closing Cornmarket at the end of May will affect Jericho’s bus service by lengthening the route. The service is only economic if it can be completed in 30 minutes and thus offer two trips each hour, so there have been suggestions that the bus might only go along Walton Street, without entering Jericho. But Councillor Susanna Pressell is in talks with the Oxford Bus Company and is confident that the bus will continue to run from Canal Street to the Westgate Centre.
