The sky blue Bee Hotel attached to the wall at the junction of Victor and Street and Canal Street
Members of Greening Jericho have now installed a Bee Hotel by one of the Community Gardens. It is part of a project by The University Department of Plant Science at Wytham Woods who gave us advice as to the most appropriate place for it in Jericho.
We also received some helpful suggestions from our friend Kiki Isidoros, and hopefully as you walk by you may see the odd bee, bumble, ladybird or other flying insect buzz in or out. Enjoy!
PS: You may have noticed another Bee Hotel on the patch of grass between Freud’s and the Dept of Experimental Psychology on the edge of the land due to house the Humanities Faculties some time in 2025… We would love to know if there is a particular reason why they are painted that bright blue!
