City grant

Cripley Meadow Allotments has received a City Council grant of £300 for skip hire and the purchase of new equipment. Members can check the notice board for availability. At the Harvest Supper on November 4, members voted for a new constitution which is posted on the notice board. The AGM will be on Monday January 31 at 7.30 p.m. at the Jericho Community Centre. As well as electing officers, the meeting will discuss ways to make the allotments more appealing to newcomers. One idea is to have ‘ready to grow’ allotments that are tilled and covered with plastic. Rent and open days next year will be March 4, 5, 11, and 12 – from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Anyone interested is welcome to come along.
