Co-op spreads out

Larger store planned

The Co-op in Walton Street should have roughly doubled in size by November. The first stage involves extending what was Mr Woodward’s cobbler’s shop, then combining it with the main store. The fruit and vegetables section will then move across, while that shop too is renovated. This will ultimately be merged with the rest into one larger store. Hopefully, this will allow wider aisles so we don’t have to clamber over the industrious staff stacking the shelves.
