Carole Guberman

Carole, who died on the June 20th aged 80, lived in Jericho for over 40 years -- intially in Cardigan street with her two daughters, Sappho and Kate and latterly, in Canal Street with her beloved cat, Bella.

Carole had her own independent travel business, but was also very active in the community. Though she did not live on a canal board she was on of fhe founder members of the Jericho Community Boatyard, which she represented for several years as a trustee of the Jericho Wharf Trust.

She loved sitting in her wonderful garden (small but magical) reading, observing the wildlife, chatting and listening if she had company, and munching on her homegrown berries.

Carole’s Memorial Service will be on Sunday 7th September at 2:30pm at St Barnabas church in Jericho - approx 45mins/an hour - for anyone who would like to attend.

TThe gathering after the memorial will be from 3:15/30pm onwards at the Harcourt Arms in Cranham Terrace, Oxford OX2 6DG
